We believe your gut deserves more than a
15-minute appointment.
Complex and chronic GI conditions are challenging to experience, and can be challenging for your medical team to improve. At Foundational Medicine, we have decades of experience working with complex, severe, and even hard-to-diagnose GI conditions.
We start with a no-cost 15-minute discovery call, followed by a full 60-minute initial intake appointment.
And we deliver a patient-centered approach, evidence-based medicine, and a full integrative toolkit spanning advanced diagnostics, herbs, diets, supplements, and conventional and integrative prescribing (not all states support ND prescribing).
We’re not a replacement for your care team; we’re an important, different, complementary resource.

The reality of GI care.Â
GI conditions are among the most undertreated in medicine.
Conventional GI care is often built around managing crises, not optimizing health. We’re here for the space in between.

How we helpÂ
We address integrative care across the GI spectrum.
We work with patients across a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions including severe and complex chronic disease, and functional disorders that defy easy diagnosis.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, and related conditions are our specialty and deepest area of expertise.
IBS & Functional GI
IBS-C, IBS-D, functional dyspepsia, and disorders where conventional tests come back “normal.”
Microbiome Dysbiosis
SIBO, SIFO, post-infectious gut disruption, and microbiome imbalances.
Motility Disorders
Gastroparesis, chronic constipation, and conditions where gut movement is the root issue.
Autoimmune GI Conditions
Microscopic colitis, eosinophilic esophagitis, celiac disease, and related conditions.
Post-Treatment Recovery
Rebuilding gut health after antibiotics, surgery, or long-term medication use.
Not seeing your condition? We’re happy to discuss whether integrative care can help. That’s what discovery calls are for.

Who we are
Decades of experience, advanced degrees, and certifications mean we’re ready to listen.
Â
We are Naturopathic Doctors (NDs), trained medical professionals with degrees from accredited four-year medical schools, where we have studied both conventional medical sciences and natural therapies. We diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic conditions using an individualized approach that identifies root causes rather than simply suppressing symptoms. We integrate evidence-informed natural therapies— including therapeutic nutrition, botanical medicine, and lifestyle counseling—with conventional diagnostic tools to support the body's inherent healing abilities and empower patients to take an active role in their health.
How we work.
Individualized care. Evidence-based tools.
Comprehensive Intake
We take time to understand your full history – labs, symptoms, lifestyle, care preferences, and what hasn’t worked before.
Thorough Diagnostic Testing
We evaluate the full picture using the tools that are right for you. Depending on your case, that may include microbiome analysis, non-invasive Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) breath testing, review of previous lab results, or comprehensive bloodwork.
Personalized Treatment Plan
Targeted nutrition, herbal medicine and supplements, microbiome-modulating therapies (like FMT, helminths, and probiotics), drug therapies (depending on your state’s regulations), and lifestyle modifications are some of the interventions we offer.
Ongoing Partnership
We adjust your care as you respond. Healing is not linear, so your plan shouldn’t be either.
